How to Manage Password Policies
- Click on the gear-shaped Administration Settings icon on the control panel in the right-hand corner of the dashboard.
- On the Administration Settings page, under the heading Billing, click on Users.
- You’ll be taken to the Manage Users page, there click on the Password Policies button in the top right-hand corner.
- On the Security Policies page, you can set your password parameters: complexity, length, timeout, expiration, and maximum invalid login attempts.
- To make your password difficult to guess, set its complexity by clicking on the drop-down menu under the header: Password complexity requirement. You can pick from 3 options to select the password’s difficulty level by choosing to add upper/lower case letters, numerics, and symbols.
- You can manipulate your password’s length by clicking on the drop-down menu under the header: Minimum password length.
- Next, you can decide how long your session remains active if the user is idle by setting a timeout period. Click on the drop-down menu under the header, Session timeout, and pick from the available options.
- You can also set an automatic date for password renewal by setting up a password expiration period. Click on the drop-down menu under the header, Password expiration, and pick from the available options.
- You can protect your account as well by limiting the number of login attempts. Click on the drop-down menu under the header, Maximum invalid login attempts, and pick from the available options.
- Now click Save. Your password settings have been configured.
How to Update Your Admin Password
- To update this password, go to Dashboard and click on the profile icon on the extreme right-hand corner. A drop-down menu will open, from there select the option: Change Password.
- On the Update Password page, type in your old/current password, then enter your new password and type it again to confirm it. Click Save. Your password has now been updated.
