This guide shows you how to use address validation through the Avalara integration.
- Avalara maps your company address with your customers’ shipping/billing addresses to make sure the taxes applied apply to the region/state your customer is from. In this case, our company is operating out of New York state.
- In the Customers module select a customer whose address you wish to validate. Let’s select May Kane.
- Add the address and click the “Validate Address” button.
- This will provide you with the exact zip code and fill in any missing details about this address. Click Update.
- Here Avalara fixed the city and completed the zip code for you.
