GoCardless- How to Guide
GoCardless is an online Direct Debit provider that handles the entire payment collection process. It can be integrated with SubscriptionFlow using one of the following methods:
 

Integration Methods
You can connect your GoCardless account with SubscriptionFlow in two ways:
1. Recommended: Quick Connect – No manual entry needed. Simply log in to your GoCardless account and authorize the connection.
2. Manual Integration – For users who prefer or require direct API token setup.
 

Method 1: Quick Connect (Recommended)
This is the fastest and easiest method. No need to manually enter API keys or webhook URLs.
 

1. After logging into your SubscriptionFlow account click the Administration Settings button. 

 

 

2. Under the Billing section, click on Payment Settings.

3. Click on Plus Payment Gateway.

 

4. In the Payment Gateways list, click on GoCardless.

5. After clicking on GoCardless, you’ll see an option labeled “Link Existing Account”. Click on it.

7. A new window will open asking you to log in to your GoCardless account. Enter your credentials, allow permissions, and accept the terms of service to proceed. 

8. After granting access, the integration will complete automatically. You won’t need to manually copy any tokens or webhook info.

 

Method 2: Manual Integration
Use this method only if you're unable to use the Quick Connect flow. It requires generating and entering API credentials manually.

 

1. After logging into your SubscriptionFlow account click the Administration Settings button.
   Under the Billing section, click on Payment Settings.

2. The Payment Gateways settings window will appear. Here, you'll see a list of all supported payment gateways.
Click on GoCardless to begin integration.

3. You’ll need an Access Token from GoCardless to proceed.

4. To obtain the token, log in to your GoCardless account.

Open 'https://manage.gocardless.com/sign-in' in a new window and enter your credentials.

5. After logging in to your account, scroll down the menu bar on the left to find the settings. Click on Developers.

6. Click on the "Create" button.

7. Select "Access Token."

8. Create a new Access Token by entering a name, selecting the appropriate scope, and clicking Create Token.

9. Copy the generated Access Token.

10. Switch back to your SubscriptionFlow window, paste the token, and click Test Connection.

11. Click Save to confirm the connection.

12. Click on Advanced Options to set up webhook integration between SubscriptionFlow and GoCardless.
Copy the Webhook URL and Webhook Secret provided.

13. Return to your GoCardless dashboard and click on Webhook endpoints.

14. Create a new Webhook endpoint by entering a name and pasting the Webhook URL and Secret.

15. Click on Back to Payment Gateways.

16. Click on Active Gateways to view the connected gateway.

17. The payment gateway will now be set as Default.
