When a subscription is created inside SubscriptionFlow, an invoice is automatically generated. If payment methods are available a payment is also collected. At the same time a projected invoice is created for the next billing cycle.
From Invoice Module
- When a customer checks out and purchases a plan, a new customer, subscription and invoice is created inside SubscriptionFlow.
- Go to the Customers module to view the newly created customer.
- Go to the Subscriptions module to view the subscription created for this customers.
- Go to the Invoices module, to see the invoice created at the time of checkout which is typically paid during checkout.
- Click on ‘All Invoices’ and select Projected. This will filter out all the projected invoices from the list. For every subscription, an invoice is generated at the start of the first billing cycle. Simultaneously, a second projected invoice is created for the next billing cycle simply to outline the future service periods.
- Here you can see the projected invoice for Hadley Hudges. Click on the invoice to view its details.
- This is a projected invoice for the Cookbook Magazine plan that Hadley Hudges just subscribed to. By default projected invoices are not linked to transactions and will be discarded when a new invoice is generated at the start of the billing cycle. SubscriptionFlow, however, lets you collect payments in advance for projected invoices after linking them to transactions.

- You can also view projected invoices from the Customers module. Click on any customer whose projected invoices you want to see.
- Scroll down from the customer's detailed view and click on ‘Configure’.
