Before you can set up paid trial plans that renew to paid plans, enable the Renew to Different Plan functionality from Administration Settings using this guide.
- Offering a paid trial requires you to create a separate trial plan for the product. Navigate to Product from the dashboard.
- On the page listing all your products, click ‘Create Product’.
- You may also click on an existing product and click on ‘Create Plan’ to create a trial plan for an existing product.
- After filling in the details of your product and plan, click ‘Save Plan’. A green pop-up notification at the top right corner of the screen will indicate that the changes have been successfully saved. To learn how to create a product and a plan in detail go to this guide.
- You will be redirected to the detailed view of the product. Scroll down to see all the plans linked to this product including the paid trial plan. With the Renew Subscription To Different Plan previously enabled, click the small ‘Edit’ button right next to (Renew to: N/A) next to the name of the trial plan.
- After clicking ‘Edit’, a pop up will appear. Select the plan you wish activated at the end of the trial plan. Click ‘Save’ after entering the required information.
- Your customer’s paid trial will automatically renew to the standard paid plan that you selected in the previous step.
When someone purchases the paid trial, they will auto-renew to the paid plan at the end of their trial.
