Customers can be created in multiple ways:
This guide walks you through each process in detail.
1.1. Create a Customer via Admin Portal
- Access the Admin Portal and land on the Dashboard.
- Next, enter the Customers module on the left side panel.
- Once you are directed to another page, click the ‘Create Customer’ button.
- A new page will appear, prompting you to fill in multiple fields with the customer's information.
- Once you have filled out the details of the customer, click on the Save button at the end of the form.
- After clicking 'Save,' you will be redirected to the Customer database, where you can view the saved details of your new customer. Additionally, a green pop-up notification at the top right-hand corner of the screen will indicate that the changes have been saved successfully.
- You can now click on 'Customers' in the left-hand side panel to see the customer's entry added to the list.
1.2. Create a Customer via Hosted Payment Page (HPP)
Following these steps, customers can also be created at the time of checkout in real-time through the integrated hosted payment page.
1. First embed checkout into your website following this guide.
2. Customers can now checkout from your website or you may share payment links with them. The fills out their contact, billing and payment details after initiating checkout.
3. Next they opt for a payment method and click 'Subscribe'.
4. They get redirected to a successful checkout URL.
5. Inside the system, a customer by the name of Brenda with their relevant contact and order details is automatically created.
That is how customers are created from hosted payment pages or checkout pages.
1.3. Create a Customer via Import
To create a new customer through import follow this guide on importing customers.
1.4. Create a Customer via a Lead
Leads can also be created manually inside SubscriptionFlow, imported or automatically generated from integrations with sales software.
1.4.1. Create a Lead
- Click on the gear icon next to Dashboard.
- Select and move the Leads module from the hidden to the visible module list.
- Move it up or down in the sequence and save changes.
- Now enter the Leads module. You may import leads but lets create one manually. Click ‘Create Lead’.
- Add information on lead and save changes.
- A new lead will be created.
1.4.2. Convert a Lead into a Customer
- Once the lead has been created, click on it from the list view inside the Leads module.Then click on the ‘Convert Lead’ button.
- Create a new deal for the customer and add details.
- Then select the stage this deal is in. Click ‘Convert’.
- A new deal is created.
- If you navigate to the Customers module you will find a new customer with the lead details in the system.
You have successfully created a lead and converted it into a customer.
