This guide walks you through the process of integrating and configuring SalesForce with your SubscriptionFlow account.
- Log in to your Salesforce account to land on the homepage.
- Locate the ‘Quick Find’ search bar on the top left of the screen.
- Next, type ‘remote’ in the search bar.
4. Click on ‘Remote Site Settings’.
- This will take you to the set up of Remote Site Settings. Here, click on ‘New Remote Site'.
- Fill in the details including the Remote Site Name and the Remote Site URL. Ensure that the Remote Site Name matches the name associated with your SubscriptionFlow account (with no space). Similarly, the Remote Site URL should match the URL linked to your SubscriptionFlow account. Then click ‘Save’.
- You should be able to see your new remote site with its details.
- Next, locate & click on the App Launcher icon at the extreme top left corner of the screen. A drop-down menu will appear, accompanied by a search bar.
- Click View All to open this as a pop up.
- In the search bar, type 'SubscriptionFlow' and then click on the SubscriptionFlow App icon.
- Clicking on the app redirects you to the 'Accounts' tab.
11. Here, click on 'SF Configuration' to proceed. You will need to enter a client ID and client secret from your SubscriptionFlow account. The next few steps show you how to retrieve these credentials.
12. Log into your SubscriptionFlow account. Click on the gear icon in the top right to enter Administration Settings. Then click on ‘API Keys’ under Apps & APIs.
13. Name the new client and click on ‘Create Client’.
14. This generates a new client ID and client secret. Copy and paste them into relevant fields inside SalesForce.
15. Copy & paste your SubscriptionFlow domain name into SalesForce.
16. Finally click ‘Test Connection’ and the integration will become active. A green pop up will confirm a successful integration.
17. The API is live. In the next steps we will see it in action.
Once your integration is set up, the next step is to see how you can create opportunities, link plans to opportunities and create subscriptions, as well as, edit them inside SubscriptionFlow, from within SalesForce.
