After integrating SalesForce with Subscription,creating opportunities and linking plans to them, you can create subscriptions for opportunities. This guide shows you how.
- Click on the opportunity you wish to create a subscription for. Then click ‘Create Subscription’.
- You can also create a subscription for an account. Simply open the account and click the ‘Create Subscription’ button.
- This opens up a window. Select the contact you are creating a subscription for. You may also create a new contact through the ‘+ Add New Contact’.
- Add & save contact details.
- Then add subscription details including subscription start date, subscription type (termed or evergreen), the term period and where it will auto renew for the same period at the end of the initial term. Click ‘Create’.
- If you are creating a subscription for an account, this window will have an added step of selecting an opportunity linked to this account. Note only opportunities that are not marked as Closed Won will show up from the dropdown.
- Once the subscription is created, the status of the opportunity will automatically be updated to Closed Won i.e. the identified opportunity has successfully resulted in a subscription purchase.
- At this point, you can scroll down to view the subscriptions & invoices created against this opportunity. On the right side, you will now see a new subscription created under the SF Subscriptions widget. Click on it to view its details.
- Similarly, an invoice is created under SF Invoices. Click on it to view its details.
- You can also view opportunities, subscriptions and invoices from the account view.
11. You can also view projected invoices for the next billing period. Projected invoices are available within 24 hours of subscription creation.
12. A subscription has successfully been created for the Madison Inc. account inside SubscriptionFlow.
