The HubSpot import utility brings your HubSpot companies and contacts into SubscriptionFlow as customers and contacts, using your HubSpot connection.
Before You Start
- Install and connect the HubSpot app: Settings › API & Integrations › Apps › HubSpot. See the HubSpot Integration Guide.
- Check the business model (B2B, B2C or Hybrid) in the HubSpot app settings. It decides what is imported (see Step 2).
- If you already have customers in SubscriptionFlow, back up your data first. Records whose email already exists are skipped.
Step 1: Open Import Data
- Click the gear icon to open Settings. Under Data Administration, click Imports.
- On Import Data, under CRM, click HubSpot. If HubSpot isn't connected, a dialog says Please Connect HubSpot App.
Step 2: Choose What to Import
- Import from HubSpot opens with the Strategy (Import New Data: records that don't exist yet, matched by email), the estimated time and the modules to import. What you see depends on the business model set in the HubSpot app:
| Business model | Modules | Result in SubscriptionFlow |
|---|---|---|
| B2B | Companies, Contacts | Each company becomes a customer. Each contact becomes a contact linked to its company's customer (if you don't import Companies, contacts are imported without a customer). |
| B2C | Companies | HubSpot contacts are imported as customers. The separate Contacts module isn't offered. |
| Hybrid | Companies, Contacts | Companies become customers. Contacts that belong to a company become contacts of that customer; contacts without a company become customers of their own. |
Untick any module you don't need, read the Recommendations, then click Continue with N modules.
Step 3: Review the Mapping and Run the Import
SubscriptionFlow creates the field mappings and opens the mapping review. Check the mappings and start the import. The mapping and settings steps are the same as for a file import: see Customers Import. Follow the import on Imports › History.
Tip: To import Contacts linked to their customers, import Companies in the same run.
