To create a gift subscription, you must first create a gift plan. To learn how to create a gift plan go here. You must also have a customer and a contact or gift recipient linked to the customer. To learn how to import contacts go here.
- Go to Subscriptions. Then click on ‘+ Create Subscription’.
- Select a customer who is purchasing this gift. Then add relevant details such as the nature of the subscription, whether it will auto renew etc. Check the ‘Enable Gift’ box.
- Then select a gift recipient. This will be one of the contacts attached to the parent customer.
- Add the product and plan that the gift subscription will be tied to and click ‘Save’.
- Choose a display name for this gift subscription and continue.
- A gift subscription will be created and invoiced to the customer selected earlier.
- Go to Contacts > {Your gift recipient}. You will see the gift subscription listed in the Subscriptions list of this contact.
- If you navigate to the Invoices module, you will see that the gift subscription was invoiced and billed to the customer Jasper Allen who purchased this subscription as a gift for their contact Armstrong. The little gift icon next to the subscription number identifies it as a gift subscription.
